Getting Involved

Whether you are interested in becoming a Teaching Artist, bringing the Program to your school, or making a donation, Dancing Classrooms Washington D.C. Dancing Classrooms is a community effort. We are also looking for volunteers (videographers, social media, grant writing, special events, business liaisons,etc.)

The opportunity to help our students step up to their best selves rests in your hands, hearts and pocketbooks. Consider how you can be a part of Dancing Classroom's mission: to use dance as a vehicle for teaching civility and respect for self and others. Be part of a program that is an antidote to the violence surrounding our schools and communities. 

Dancing Classrooms not only changes the lives of the children who participate in the program but also the lives of the teachers, parents, and the communities who support them. The collaborative nature of Dancing Classrooms provides and creates partnerships between schools, school districts, the business community, professional artists, non-profit and for-profit arts providers, and parent volunteers.
